Wouldn’t it be fantastic if we could create the conditions for change and then sit back and watch the change evolve into being? That’s nature in action. It happens all around us, but how can we take the lessons from this into the workplace?

This is the essence of environmental design. The concepts that underly it are those of a presumption of abundance versus scarcity, of the ability of our surroundings and our situation to influence our mood, and of resonance between our environment and our attitudes and behaviours.
